Using vitamin c serum, no matter what age the person asking is will require them to think about a few things.
For example, most teenagers have acne skin. If you don’t have acne on your skin, vitamin C serum is good enough for your skin, but you will need to wear sunscreen every single day since Vitamin C makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight and causes hyperpigmentation.
If your skin tends to dry out after some time, you will need to switch to a proper moisturizer.
In determining what to use, it all really depends on what kind of vitamin C serum you use.
If it is clinical vitamin c serum, that would be a really strong dose of vitamin c and it is concentrated enough to work on your skin.
But if you buy it from a regular store, that is not really effective since if there is 0.01% vitamin c in the product, the company is allowed to name the product vitamin c.
So what and where you buy it from is really important.
If anything, make sure to check the concentration/percentage of vitamin C in the stuff that you buy! And if you still have questions, ask a skincare professional, like an esthetician or dermatologist.
