Usually, when you practice your skin daily routine and when something goes wrong with your skin, it usually means that you are using the wrong products. The best option would be to contact an esthetician for a skin analysis. This helps you to know what type of skin you have so you can choose the right products for your skin.
For example, I have a client who is a 62-year-old woman. She had very dry and dehydrated skin, which I mentioned to her. But after getting a facial she asked for oil-free products to buy. I recommended hydrating and oil-based products, but she insisted that oil-based products make her skin too oily. So she bought what she wanted.
After a month, she came back to me and said the products that she had chosen were not working well. I recommended the correct products to her, and since then it has been three years that she has been my client and buys her products from me. Her skin is looking gorgeous now too!
She also said when she was younger, she had oily skin and she thought her skin is still the same. As we age, our skin produces less collagen and loses the acid mantle which has the duty to protect the skin and keeps it hydrated.
I told this story because I want you to know that an expert should give her opinion about your skin type and this is not something that everybody can tell.
Furthermore, clinical skincare products, as opposed to drugstore products, are more concentrated with what the skin needs. As a result, I recommend you to buy clinical products.
