“Should Teenagers Exfoliate Their Faces?” & “What Kind of Makeup is Best for Allergies and Skin”

Hey everyone, here are a pair of interesting questions that I received today in my email inbox, regarding whether or not teenagers should exfoliate their faces and what is good makeup for people with allergies.

Please enjoy!

Q1: Should Teenagers Exfoliate Their Faces?

Yes, teenagers can exfoliate their faces.

However, teenagers should not exfoliate their skin by themselves because he or she will not know how much to exfoliate.

If you exfoliate your skin too much, you will make your skin even worse. This is because your skin is going to react and fight against the exfoliation.

So if you have acne, it will produce more acne to protect itself. If it is thick when you exfoliate, it will make extra skin to fight against the exfoliation.

However, a skincare professional should be the one who can perform the exfoliation as she knows how far she can go with regards to how much dead skin can be taken off your face.

Q2: What Kind of Makeup is Best for Allergies and Skin

It depends on what you are allergic to.

If you are looking for a quick answer, I would go with Clarins brand where all of their products (skincare or makeup) are good for people with allergies.

However, if you are looking for a specific answer about the ingredients, we need to know what you are allergic to.

For example, I had a client a couple of months ago that she said she was allergic to apples and peaches. That was my first time having a client with this type of allergy.

So I put away all products with peptides because that’s what causes an allergic reaction to people with this kind of allergy.

Thank you all for the interesting email questions and I hope to get more from you in the future!

See you next time!
