Thank goodness it’s Friday! I got some really awesome questions in my email inbox that I wanted to share with you all today. Zinc tablets came up as a topic, as well as sunscreen, wrinkles, and others!
Please enjoy!
Q1: Can I use zinc tablets for sunscreen?
A sunscreen with zinc has other ingredients, which makes it a cream such as ointments, dimethicone, etc. However, the active ingredient is zinc which makes it a good sunscreen.
Using zinc tablets by themselves does not have a creamy texture so if you mix it with water and let’s say “other ingredients,” you may take the effect of zinc away because you don’t know the ratios and some of the other ingredients may interact with the zinc.
So the product you make will be either not effective at all or have too much zinc, which can cause you allergic reactions or make your skin dry and flaky.
Skincare is not DIY. Make sure to talk to an esthetician for help in choosing the right products, including sunscreen!
Q2: Is it good or bad if after I put my sunscreen 50++ on my skin I using Control Oil Film to remove the oil/shine on my skin sorry for bad English?
No worries! Your English is perfectly understandable.
If your sunscreen looks oily on your skin, wait 15 minutes after application, then take a tissue and put it on your face. Smoothly pat your face while the tissue is on. Focus on oily spots without dragging the tissue, then take it off your skin.
This way, you are taking off the sunscreen and you are not using your oil control film that clogs your pores.
Q4: I’m 13 and I already have 2 faint wrinkles on my head. When I stretch my skin, one of them is still there. I’m scared I will look older in the future. What do I do?
Visit an esthetician, get a hydrating/refreshing facial and ask for her advice on the type of sunscreen that your skin needs.
Please don’t waste your money on drugstore products.
Also, stop touching your face because you are causing more wrinkles.
Q4: I got a sunburn a week ago that is still healing, and may be need to be in the sun again tomorrow. Would it be better to use sunscreen over the healing burnt skin, or cover it with clothes?
No matter what, you need to wear your sunscreen. Depending on how badly you are burned, you might want to avoid exposing the burned area to the sun.
Thank you all for the wonderful questions! Please keep sending them in and I’ll get to them!
Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
