Pair of Questions: 9/17/21

epiduo

Q1: I’m using vitamin c serum and epiduo for acne but the skin on my face and neck is uneven in tone and texture. Is there a night cream I could use that will heal and restore my skin? I’ve heard aloe vera yields results for some people; could that work?

Instead of trying different serum/creams or epiduo and spending too much money on getting the wrong products, you should see an esthetician to first find out what type of skin you have, what kind of acne, and which anti-acne products you need to use for your acne.

Then she can decide if you may need to get microdermabrasion so your skin will have an even tone and the discoloration will go away.

Figuring this information out is a really good first step towards finding the right solution for your skin issues.

Q2: How Often Can I get a TCA Peel?

The skin makes new cells and heals itself every 28 days.

As we age, the quality of making “new skin” becomes reduced. So this question depends on how old you are as well as the existing quality of your skin.

If you are in your 20s, you can get it once a month if you are advised by an esthetician or a dermatologist to get it more than one time.

In general, remember that chemical peels dry out your skin.

It is better to make the skin ready for two weeks before getting chemical peels with getting a deep hydration treatment.

Thanks for the awesome questions! I’ll see everybody next time, so keep them coming!
